In 2013 the OCA decided that the constant maintenance of the fabric of the hall had reached a critical stage. They invited an architect to inspect the building and give some options for refurbishing.

He verbally gave the opinion that refurbishment would not be cost effective and that the best option would be a complete rebuild. Therefore a public survey was carried out within the parish to ascertain what the community felt about a way forward.
