Big progress on the roof! We now have the whole back elevation complete and almost all of the front. You will be able to see the white plastic protective layer on the zinc roofing if you are looking at the hall from the green now. It won’t be too long before that is all peeled off to reveal the final finish! There’s still a few areas of detail on the roof to get done – the front edge trim on the overhanging porch, for example. It shouldn’t long though before big skylight window is fitted!

Less visible work continues on the shed. We have both “rooms” floored with concrete. The bike store is just a concrete pour on hardcore and damp proofing, whereas the heat pump plant room gets insulation as well under its finer screed floor. Blockwork continues and the walls should be rising from the ground over the next week or two…
