Hall Build – Week 42

We have one half of a dry hall…! The rear elevation of the roof has now been lined, battened, and boarded. We even have our first Velux window installed! The front elevation is now to receive the same treatment, although as always, the interesting angles at the front are making things trickier.

The overhanging porch roof comes to a much finer point at the front that the steel frame may suggest. Gordon has been looking in close detail (picture included below!) with CSY and the roofing company at exactly how to detail the structure for that point, and the first timber triangle is now in place…

The roofing company have taken their measurements of the back half of the roof and are busy fabricating off site. We should start to see roofing materials on site next week!
