Hall Build – Week 34

It’s flower show week! Of course, that hasn’t stopped progress with the build, but TRF have made some extra efforts to get the site ready for the show team. The fencing on the green has been pulled back as close to the wall as possible, and power and water supplies have been arranged from the hall to the green. Gordon was on site when the marquees were delivered to ensure no tent pegs when through any underground pipes!

Significant steps forward on the build this week too. Work has begun on restoring and repairing the village green wall, using stone that was taken from it in other places. This is a huge job and will hopefully see the wall looking better than ever at the end, having got rid of the red brick fixes that have been put into it over the years.

On top of that (figuratively), we also have our upstairs floor going in, and our first wooden roof beam on the back elevation!
