It’s been full pace on getting the roof timbers finished this week. TRF have hired in some extra hands to get the roof ready for next week, when the expert roofers from Artisan Roofing are due to arrive on site! The roof beams at the front of the hall have been particularly tricky, as our lovely cantilever front porch has diagonals in all directions, so each roof beam was different. After lots of careful calculations though, they are complete! TRF have now started laying the first waterproof membrane over the beams. With any luck, we should start seeing a shiny new metal roof appearing towards the end of next week…

At the same time, progress is continuing with the shed. We now have foundations and blockwork complete, and we can really start to see what will be our separate plant room for the ground source heat pump, and our bike and bin store room.
