Work continues on the front half of the roof this week. We now have the timber framing up for the front vertical walls that will define one side of our loft space, as well as all the roof beams that could be reached without scaffolding. And scaffolding is now on site! Much of this has already been put up around the back and side of the main building. Next week, the rest will be put up at the front, allowing the TRF guys to access the foremost reaches of our lovely overhanging front porch roof.
Important to note that the front scaffolding will be going up on the green, in front of the stone wall. This will mean that the playpark will have to be closed for a period of time.
We also have work finally commencing on the outbuilding to the west, after some uncertainties around the heat pump and the final roof choice meant that the shed foundations were not poured at the same time as the main hall. We’re now back on track though, with all decisions made and foundation trenches dug.
